Busy

Its been a busy couple of weeks. Poor Darling Girl has been ill for a while. She is suffering with a dreadful cough and temperature. A cough doesn't sound like much but it is affecting her whole body as she hacks away like an old smoker. Her whole body shakes and she is worn out. It is finally improving after having weeks off school and courses of penicillin and antibiotics and being put back on her inhaler. She is also heading back to see her consultant. So her discharge didn't last 2 months.

But she is feeling better so I am pleased about being able to upload photos like this of her enjoying the sunshine.

I have had a couple of grown up nights off. Kind Inlaws took Eleanor for tea so Hub and I could go and watch the Star Trek movie. Fabulous. But I could be biased mainly because we have seen every Star Trek film, together - and on a big screen since Undiscovered Country (that's the one where the Klingons quote Hamlet). Or it could just mean I loved it because we haven't been on our own to see a grown up film for years, and that was also a Star Trelk film!

My other night out involved Mo and John Barrowman. We went to see a brilliant concert in Liverpool. Not as cheesy as his awful TV programme, JB belted out show tunes and told his silly stories. His able support was Daniel Boys who has a beautiful clear voice - I need to track down his new album. After the show, JB was whisked away, but Daniel Boys came out to say "hello" and sign programmes and nick pens - but I'll let him keep it!
